SIGNAGE / WAYFINDING
The mall has been modelled on Nouveausim. A modern interpretation of art nouveau, for which Baku is renowned for having many fine examples. To create a sign system that would complement the mall we looked to the Vienna school of Art Nouveau and drew our inspiration from the grids and typography evident in the Vienna Secession movement. This gave us a strong visual framework from which a functional and elegant sign system has been fashioned.
